Role Description
The Development Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data-driven applications that integrate internal platforms with external technologies to support business and marketing intelligence initiatives. The role requires strong technical capabilities in data engineering, application development, and cloud-based platforms to address moderately complex data challenges involving large-scale datasets.
Key Responsibilities
•Convert business and technical requirements into well-structured and scalable technical solutions.
•Design, develop, and enhance applications and data solutions in accordance with architecture and technical specifications.
•Participate in solution discussions, sprint planning, and code reviews to ensure quality and alignment with project goals.
•Implement best practices in development, data management, and system integration to ensure performance, reliability, and data accuracy.
•Identify opportunities to improve system performance, automation processes, and development workflows.
•Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues reported by stakeholders based on urgency and impact.
•Develop and execute unit testing procedures to validate functionality and ensure defect-free deployments.
•Deliver development tasks independently while contributing to larger projects within collaborative teams.
•Manage multiple tasks and deliverables while maintaining adherence to project timelines.
•Build domain expertise in data platforms, analytics workflows, and marketing technology ecosystems.
•Maintain technical documentation and effectively communicate technical concepts, solutions, and recommendations to stakeholders.
Requirements
•Strong programming and data manipulation skills in SQL / PL-SQL and Python.
•Hands-on experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks, including exposure to machine learning capabilities.
•Experience working with cloud-based infrastructures such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
•Familiarity with data visualization and analytics tools such as Looker, Tableau, D3.js, or similar platforms.
•Experience working with CI/CD workflows, version control systems (Git/GitHub), and automation or orchestration tools.
•Exposure to additional programming languages such as Java, C#, Perl, or Shell scripting.
•Working knowledge of XML, HTML, and issue tracking tools such as Jira.
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
•Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving capabilities, and effective communication skills.
•Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while adapting to evolving technical requirements.
