Client Description
Our client is a well-established industrial company in Southeast Asia, specializing in large-scale raw material processing for global supply chains and they're seeking a Procurement Executive.
Role Description
You'll manage the full procurement cycle, work closely with cross-functional project teams, engage with both local and international suppliers, and contribute directly to the successful delivery of a large-scale greenfield operation.
Key Responsibilities
Handle end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, RFQ, quotation evaluation, commercial negotiation, purchase order issuance, and delivery follow-up.
Source and evaluate suppliers based on commercial competitiveness, technical compliance, delivery capability, and overall project requirements.
Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, Warehouse, QA/QC, Logistics, and end users to clarify material specifications and procurement requirements.
Review technical specifications, BOQ, drawings, and material schedules during the procurement process.
Monitor procurement progress and expedite critical materials to support project schedules.
Resolve procurement-related issues, including technical clarification, delivery delays, supplier performance, and commercial matters.
Prepare quotation comparisons, procurement recommendations, reports, and supporting documentation.
Develop and maintain relationships with local and overseas suppliers.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or other related disciplines.
Minimum 3–5 years of procurement experience in construction, EPC, industrial projects, manufacturing, mining, smelting, or heavy industry.
Good understanding of procurement processes, commercial negotiation, supplier management, and contract administration.
Able to review technical specifications and engineering documents during the procurement process.
Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
Able to work independently in a fast-paced project environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Engineering background (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, etc.) or relevant project/site experience.
Experience in project procurement for large-scale industrial or construction projects.
Familiarity with imported materials, international sourcing, and logistics coordination.
Existing supplier network within the construction or industrial sector.
Language Skills
Candidates with multilingual communication skills will be given preference, as the role requires frequent coordination with overseas suppliers, consultants, and local stakeholders.
