My client is a rapidly scaling fashion retail platform with a portfolio of lifestyle and apparel brands, currently expanding its footprint across Southeast Asia. Backed by strong growth momentum, the business is focused on building a high-performance retail organisation with best-in-class store operations, merchandising, and regional expansion capabilities
Role Description
You will lead the end-to-end retail business, with full ownership of commercial performance, operations, and regional expansion. This role is responsible for driving sales, profitability, and store productivity while building scalable operating processes across multiple markets. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will translate overall business strategy into effective in-store execution, oversee new store openings, optimise merchandising and inventory flow, and develop a high-performing retail organisation to support sustainable growth
Key Responsibilities
• Own full P&L, including revenue growth, margins, and cost control
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and performance tracking
• Drive store productivity, sales conversion, and profitability initiatives
• Oversee daily store operations to ensure consistent execution and customer experience
• Establish SOPs, performance metrics, and operating standards across the network
• Identify operational gaps and implement scalable solutions
• Lead regional expansion, including new store openings and market entry execution
• Develop and execute store rollout plans, ensuring operational readiness
• Adapt commercial strategies (assortment, pricing, promotions) to local market dynamics
• Build and lead a high-performing retail organisation
• Develop strong store leadership and succession pipelines
• Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement
Requirements
• Min 15 years of experience in multi-store retail within fashion, apparel, or lifestyle sectors
• Proven track record with full P&L ownership and delivering commercial results
• Experience in scaling retail operations or leading expansion initiatives
• Strong understanding of merchandising, inventory management, and store operations
• Data-driven with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Effective leader with experience managing both corporate and frontline teams
• Fluency in Mandarin is required for cross-border stakeholder management
• Experience in Southeast Asia markets is highly advantageous
