Role Description
This is a highly hands-on and high-ownership IP role for someone who wants to be closely involved in real innovation, working directly with R&D, product, and leadership teams to strategically protect and develop the company’s intellectual property.
Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this role will serve as the primary IP lead for the business, managing the full spectrum of intellectual property matters including patents, trademarks, software copyrights, open-source compliance, confidentiality, and IP commercialization.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end patent prosecution across multiple jurisdictions (US, EU, China, Japan, SEA), from ideation with R&D to office action responses
Manage and grow a global trademark portfolio, including filings, renewals, and infringement monitoring
Oversee software copyright and open-source compliance, including AI-related licensing considerations
Drive IP strategy and competitive intelligence, including patent landscape analysis and reporting
Develop and implement IP policies, confidentiality frameworks, and internal guidelines
Partner with business teams on IP commercialization, licensing, and asset strategy
Act as the primary IP lead, working closely with the General Counsel and cross-functional stakeholders
Requirements
5–8 years of IP experience with strong hands-on exposure in patent prosecution
Qualified lawyer or patent attorney with multi-jurisdiction IP experience
Experience managing trademark portfolios and IP compliance frameworks
Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin to engage regional stakeholders
