Client Description

A fast-growing international fashion group originating from China, known for its portfolio of trend-driven brands that combine accessible pricing with strong design and retail execution. With a vertically integrated model spanning design to retail, the company is rapidly expanding across Asia and into global markets through a mix of direct stores, franchises, and partnerships, supported by China headquarter and a growing overseas business division focused on Southeast Asia and beyond.

Role Description

This role will be leading the franchise expansion across high-growth international markets, including Southeast Asia and the Middle East. This role will play a critical part in accelerating global footprint and building a strong partner ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead market entry strategy and franchise expansion plans across assigned regions, identifying high-potential markets and growth opportunities.
• Drive the end-to-end expansion lifecycle, from market assessment to successful store launch.
• Identify, evaluate, and secure high-quality franchise partners through structured screening and commercial due diligence.
• Own negotiations, contract structuring, and deal closure, ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships.
• Support partners post-signing to ensure smooth onboarding and execution.
• Conduct comprehensive site assessments, leveraging trade area analysis, footfall data, and competitor benchmarking to secure prime retail locations.
• Ensure new store openings align with brand positioning and commercial performance targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, government authorities, and industry stakeholders to unlock expansion opportunities and facilitate market entry.
• Continuously monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer dynamics.
• Deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations to HQ to support decision-making and long-term growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, Economics, Marketing, Real Estate, or related disciplines.
• Min 8 years of experience in international expansion, franchise development, or retail site development within global brands.
• Strong track record in Southeast Asia, Middle East, or Mexico markets is highly preferred.
• Fluent in business-level English, with strong communication and cross-cultural negotiation skills.
• Highly analytical and data-driven, with the ability to independently perform ROI analysis and financial modelling.
• Willing to travel frequently across international markets.
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, strong ownership, and a passion for building new markets.
