Role Description

This role is a commercially driven and strategic APAC Merchandising Lead to spearhead product strategy and retail performance across Southeast Asia and emerging markets.
This role sits at the heart of the Overseas Business Division, acting as a key bridge between headquarters and regional markets. You will partner closely with senior leaders across Business Development, Retail Operations (Franchise), and Product, directly contributing to international expansion and brand growth.

With exposure to markets across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Mexico, this is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, scaling environment.

Key Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end merchandising strategy across Southeast Asia, driving sell-through, inventory efficiency, and profitability.
• Design and execute a best-in-class product lifecycle framework (Design → Buy → Launch → Track → React → Optimize)
• Translate local consumer insights into clear, actionable assortment strategies.
• Lead category planning, pricing architecture, and product mix to deliver a compelling and commercially viable assortment.
• Drive disciplined OTB planning and in-season inventory management to optimise stock health and turnover.
• Ensure strong alignment between product strategy and sales performance.
• Champion a fast, data-driven trading culture with the ability to react quickly to sales trends.
• Continuously refine assortment through replenishment, markdown optimisation, and product iteration.
• Maximise gross margin and sell-through performance.
• Lead and develop a regional merchandising team, including buyers and merchandisers across China and overseas markets.
• Establish scalable SOPs, workflows, and performance benchmarks to enhance operational excellence.

Requirements

• Min 10 years in fashion merchandising / product management within fast-paced retail environments.
• Strong commercial acumen with deep expertise in OTB planning, assortment strategy, WSSI and in-season trading
• Proven experience managing multi-country or regional markets, ideally in Southeast Asia.
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into action.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.

• Comfortable operating in a dynamic, international, and scaling business.
