Solar Energy — Southern Region (Johor-based)
About the Company
An established end-to-end solar energy provider operating across Malaysia. The company delivers full lifecycle solutions across consulting, design, installation, and operations & maintenance, serving residential, commercial, and industrial segments. Strong existing footprint with active expansion into the Southern Region.
The Role
Drive new business growth and account development across Johor and the wider Southern Region, with a primary focus on Commercial & Industrial (C&I) clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities in the C&I segment
- Manage and grow relationships with existing accounts
- Respond to client enquiries with timely, accurate product and service information
- Prepare tailored quotations and solution proposals based on client requirements
- Strategise, plan, and execute sales activities to consistently meet individual targets
- Work closely with internal Design and Project teams to deliver on client requirements
- Resolve customer concerns professionally, safeguarding the company's interests
- Monitor account receivables and follow up where required
- Represent the company professionally in client and industry settings
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of B2B sales or business development experience
- Background in renewable energy or related industries (solar, wind, energy storage, energy efficiency, electrical, M&E, industrial energy solutions)
- Existing client or industry network in the Southern Region
- Independent, business-minded, with strong ability to articulate ROI to clients
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willing to travel; own transport required
Preferred:
- Direct C&I solar sales experience
- Experience selling into industrial, manufacturing, or commercial property clients in Johor and the Southern Region
Package
- Base salary: ~RM5,000 (negotiable based on experience)
- Attractive commission structure with strong upside for performance
