We are seeking a Manager, Field Application Scientist to join a leading life sciences and diagnostics organization dedicated to delivering exceptional scientific support, technical expertise, and customer experience across the healthcare and laboratory industry. In this leadership role, you will oversee the Field Application Scientist team, driving customer engagement, technical excellence, product adoption, and cross-functional collaboration to support business growth and customer success.

The Role
- Field Application Leadership: Lead and manage the Field Application Scientist team by providing coaching, technical guidance, mentorship, and operational support to ensure high-quality customer service and scientific application support.
- Technical & Scientific Support: Oversee product demonstrations, customer trainings, technical workshops, and scientific presentations to ensure customers fully understand product applications, workflows, and benefits.
- Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, laboratories, clinicians, and stakeholders by understanding their technical needs and delivering tailored scientific solutions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Technical teams to develop effective product positioning strategies and support commercial growth initiatives.
- Application & Experiment Support: Provide scientific expertise and consultation in the design, troubleshooting, and execution of customer experiments, ensuring successful implementation and optimal product performance.
- Market & Competitive Analysis: Monitor industry trends, customer feedback, competitor activities, and market developments to identify opportunities for business growth, service enhancement, and product improvement.
- Scientific Presentations & Events: Prepare and deliver technical presentations at conferences, workshops, seminars, and customer events to showcase product capabilities, applications, and scientific success stories.
- Process & Operational Excellence: Establish, standardize, and continuously improve SOPs and best practices for the Field Application Scientist team to ensure operational consistency, efficiency, and service quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, or PhD in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Medical Laboratory Science, or other relevant scientific discipline
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Field Application Support, Technical Support, Laboratory Operations, or related roles within the life sciences, biotechnology, diagnostics, or medical device industry
- Strong understanding of diagnostic products, laboratory workflows, molecular biology techniques, analytical instruments, and scientific applications
- Proven experience providing technical consultation, troubleshooting, and scientific support to customers and laboratories
- Prior leadership or people management experience is highly preferred
- Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers, distributors, and internal teams
