A multinational organization within the industrial equipment and compressed air solutions industry is looking to hire an Account Manager based in Johor, Malaysia.

This role is responsible for driving sales growth, developing new customer accounts, and managing long-term client relationships across industrial sectors. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering complete compressed air and engineering solutions to customers while supporting business expansion within Malaysia.

The ideal candidate should come with a strong industrial sales background, preferably within compressors, rotating equipment, industrial machinery, or engineering solution environments.

This role is centered around:

  • Driving industrial sales and business development activities
  • Managing customer relationships and expanding key accounts
  • Providing technical and commercial solutions to customers

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales Growth

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and customer accounts
  • Conduct outreach activities including cold calling, customer visits, and lead generation
  • Drive sales growth across assigned industries and territories

Account Management

  • Build and maintain strong long-term customer relationships
  • Understand customer operational requirements and recommend suitable solutions
  • Manage customer engagement activities to maximize account growth and retention

Commercial & Tender Management

  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and sales contracts
  • Negotiate pricing, tender submissions, and commercial terms with customers
  • Monitor sales pipeline, forecasts, and business performance reporting

Technical Sales Support

  • Provide pre-sales technical presentations and product demonstrations
  • Support customer product training and after-sales engagement
  • Work closely with internal engineering and project teams to support solution delivery

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with supply chain, sales support, project engineering, and fulfilment teams
  • Ensure smooth execution of customer orders and project requirements
  • Support operational excellence and customer satisfaction initiatives

Ideal Candidate Profile

✔ Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline

✔ Experience selling:

✔ Strong business development and customer relationship management skills
