Role Description

They are seeking a Procurement Lead to support sourcing, supplier management, and procurement operations in line with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee end-to-end procurement activities, including metals, non-metals, and import logistics.
Identify, evaluate, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers such as mills, service centers, and metal vendors.
Lead contract negotiations with a focus on achieving cost efficiencies and securing long-term supply agreements.
Mitigate risks in supply and service contracts while optimizing operational opportunities through effective supplier management.
Ensure timely delivery of goods and services under agreed terms and conditions.
Build, lead, and develop high-performing procurement and cost estimation teams, promoting continuous improvement.
Ensure all purchasing activities comply with corporate standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements, while safeguarding organizational interests.
Monitor and analyze market conditions, pricing trends, and supply chain factors for metals such as steel and aluminum.
Source potential vendors, conduct evaluations, negotiate terms, and manage supplier contracts.
Set departmental goals and evaluate team performance against established KPIs.
Report on target achievements and recommend corrective or improvement actions when necessary.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Business Management, Operations Management, Logistics/Transportation, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
Strong skills in planning, leadership, communication, and negotiation.
Proven commercial awareness with a strong track record in negotiating high-value, strategic contracts.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Demonstrated leadership qualities with strong networking, collaboration, and teamwork capabilities.
Experience in project leadership, change management, long-term strategic planning, or sustainable procurement will be an advantage.
