Role Description

Our client is currently seeking a Field Service Engineer to support technical service operations across installation, repair, and maintenance of industrial electronic equipment.

In this role, you will be involved in both workshop-based repairs and on-site technical support, ensuring equipment performance and customer satisfaction across multiple industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing equipment troubleshooting, repair, and testing activities
• Supporting installation, commissioning, and system setup at customer sites
• Providing technical support and basic user training to customers
• Preparing service documentation, reports, and repair logs
• Managing equipment handling, packaging, and return logistics
• Supporting service-related sales activities through customer engagement
• Collecting customer feedback and equipment data to support business improvements
• Maintaining tools and test equipment to ensure operational efficiency
• Assisting with basic administrative or operational tasks within the service function
• Supporting ad-hoc technical assignments as required

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related engineering disciplines
• Around 3 years or more of experience in service engineering, maintenance, or technical support roles
• Familiarity with electrical circuits, schematics, and electronic components
• Exposure to industrial equipment, manufacturing environments, or automation systems is advantageous
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Mandarin is useful for communication with regional or overseas technical teams
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong teamwork
• Willingness to travel locally and regionally as required
