Job Description

  • Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain scalable and reliable software applications.
  • Develop and enhance backend applications using Java, J2EE/JEE, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain frontend applications using modern technologies such as React OR React Native, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, where applicable.
  • Design and implement system integrations, APIs, middleware, and database solutions to support business and application requirements.
  • Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, debugging, and performance improvements.
  • Provide application support and maintenance following implementation, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, debugging, and system upgrades.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, business stakeholders, and internal technical teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions within agreed timelines.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance application performance, usability, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Apply object-oriented programming principles and software development best practices to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge-sharing activities within the development team.


Requirements

  • Candidates coming from Insurtech/Insurance background be highly advantageous.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 4–8 years of relevant software development experience, with strong experience in either Full Stack Development or Java Backend Development.
  • Hands-on experience with Java (J2EE/JEE) and backend development frameworks such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, JSF, or Struts.
  • For Full Stack Development, experience with React OR React Native, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS would be mandatory.
  • Good knowledge of SQL and relational database systems, with experience in database integration and application development.
  • Experience in RESTful APIs, system integration, middleware, and enterprise application development is an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience working on software development projects involving application design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently identify issues, troubleshoot technical challenges, and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
