About the Opportunity
A leading multinational retail organisation is seeking an experienced Head of Supply Chain – Southeast Asia to lead its regional supply chain operations from Malaysia.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this strategic leadership role is responsible for driving end-to-end supply chain performance across Southeast Asia, overseeing logistics, warehousing, transportation, third-party logistics (3PL) partners, and operational excellence initiatives.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping regional supply chain strategy, optimising logistics networks, strengthening commercial partnerships, and building a high-performing team to support business growth across multiple markets.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute regional supply chain strategies aligned with business growth objectives across Southeast Asia.
- Act as a strategic business partner to commercial and cross-functional teams to improve operational performance and customer service.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency, productivity, and cost optimisation.
Logistics & Distribution Management
- Oversee warehouse, transportation, and distribution operations across the region.
- Manage relationships with logistics service providers and third-party logistics (3PL) partners, including contract negotiations and performance management.
- Drive improvements in order fulfilment, delivery performance, inventory flow, and warehouse operations.
Planning & Operational Excellence
- Lead demand forecasting, capacity planning, and resource optimisation to support business growth and peak trading periods.
- Monitor supply chain KPIs and leverage data analytics to drive operational improvements.
- Ensure effective risk management, business continuity planning, and regulatory compliance across regional operations.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Build, mentor, and develop high-performing supply chain teams.
- Collaborate closely with commercial, finance, procurement, and operations leaders to deliver business objectives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
We're looking for candidates with:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive supply chain experience, including 6–10 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience managing multi-country supply chain operations across Southeast Asia.
- Strong background in retail, FMCG, consumer goods, logistics, or distribution environments.
- Experience managing logistics providers, warehousing operations, and transportation networks.
- Strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities.
- Experience using supply chain analytics and performance management tools.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
