Main Duties & Responsibilities
Our client is currently seeking a Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer to provide technical leadership throughout the sales cycle for mission-critical data centre projects across Southeast Asia.
In this role, you will work closely with customers, consultants, contractors, and internal commercial teams to design, position, and deliver infrastructure solutions that meet both technical and commercial objectives.
Additional responsibilities include:
• Providing technical pre-sales support throughout the customer engagement lifecycle
• Developing solution proposals for hyperscale, enterprise, and colocation data centre projects
• Engaging customers through technical presentations, workshops, site visits, and solution discussions
• Designing infrastructure solutions that address both critical infrastructure and white space requirements
• Acting as the technical lead during tender, RFI, and RFP activities
• Working closely with sales, product management, operations, and implementation teams to deliver successful customer outcomes
• Preparing Statements of Work (SOW), technical documentation, and solution recommendations
• Supporting customer requirement gathering and translating business needs into practical technical solutions
• Providing technical insights to support product development and future market opportunities
• Supporting regional business development activities across Southeast Asia
Candidate Profile
Our ideal candidate will be one who has most of the below criteria:
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines
• Around 5–8 years or more of experience within the Data Centre industry, telecommunications, or mission-critical infrastructure environments
• Hands-on experience within the white space of a data centre is highly preferred, including server environments, structured cabling, racks, containment, fibre connectivity, and passive infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems (copper and fibre) and data centre physical infrastructure
• Experience supporting data centre design, deployment, commissioning, or technical pre-sales activities
• Strong understanding of critical infrastructure including power, cooling, connectivity, and data centre operations
• Experience engaging customers in a technical sales, solutions engineering, or consulting environment
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Visio, or similar design tools is advantageous
• Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical solutions to both technical and commercial audiences
• Willingness to travel across Southeast Asia as required
