About the Opportunity

Atomic Recruitment is representing a leading global biopharmaceutical company seeking an experienced Director, Pricing & Contracting to lead US pricing strategy, commercial and government contracting, and Gross-to-Net (GTN) management across its oncology and specialty biologics portfolio.

Reporting to the Head of Market Access & Pricing, this leadership role will be responsible for developing pricing strategies, managing payer and government contracts, ensuring pricing compliance, and partnering cross-functionally to optimize market access and commercial performance.


Key Responsibilities

Pricing Strategy

  • Develop and execute US pricing strategies, including WAC establishment, lifecycle pricing and pricing governance.
  • Conduct pricing analyses, financial modelling and competitive assessments to support business decisions.
  • Ensure pricing strategies align with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.

Commercial Pricing & Contracting

  • Lead pricing and contract negotiations with commercial payers, PBMs, Medicare Part D plans and other organized customers.
  • Design rebate, discount and incentive structures that maximize access while protecting profitability.
  • Manage the full contract lifecycle, including financial modelling, implementation and ongoing performance evaluation.
  • Support the development of innovative and value-based contracting solutions where appropriate.

Government Pricing & Compliance

  • Oversee all government pricing activities, including AMP, Best Price (BP), ASP, 340B and VA/FSS pricing.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and compliance with CMS, HRSA, VA and other regulatory agencies.
  • Monitor changes in government pricing regulations and assess commercial impact.
  • Maintain audit readiness and robust pricing governance processes.

Gross-to-Net (GTN) Management

  • Lead GTN forecasting, accrual management and portfolio analytics.
  • Develop GTN models to improve pricing decisions and revenue forecasting.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize net price realization and minimize GTN leakage.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with Market Access, Trade, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Medical Affairs, HEOR and Commercial teams.
  • Support product launch readiness by ensuring pricing infrastructure and contracting processes are established prior to commercialization.
  • Act as the internal subject matter expert on US pricing, reimbursement and contracting.

Leadership

  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing pricing and contracting team.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, compliance and analytical excellence.


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Pharmacy, Life Sciences or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in US pharmaceutical or biotechnology pricing, contracting, government pricing or market access.
  • Strong expertise in US pharmaceutical pricing methodologies, including WAC, AMP, BP, ASP, 340B and VA/FSS.
  • Demonstrated experience managing Gross-to-Net (GTN) forecasting and analytics.
  • Proven success negotiating commercial payer, PBM and/or government contracts.
  • Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid and other US government healthcare programs.
  • Experience working within matrixed organizations and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, financial modelling and communication skills.


Preferred

  • Experience in oncology, biosimilars or specialty biologics.
  • Background in both large pharmaceutical companies and growth-stage biotech organizations.
  • Familiarity with value-based contracting and innovative reimbursement models.
  • Experience with pricing systems such as Model N, Revitas or SAP.
