Job Title: Senior Cybersecurity SaaS Sales Hunter/Leader
About The Role
You will lead the country’s sales strategy and execution, with responsibility for accelerating revenue growth, expanding market share, and strengthening relationships with enterprise customers and channel partners. This is a (highly Hands-on Hunter Role).
You will oversee the full sales lifecycle, from building a strong pipeline and securing new customers to expanding strategic accounts 80% to 90% hunting. Working closely with Sales Engineering, Channel, Marketing, and regional leadership teams, you will guide complex enterprise opportunities and position cybersecurity solutions that deliver clear commercial and security outcomes.
The role also involves coaching sales professionals, improving sales performance, and creating a collaborative, results-focused culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the cybersecurity sales strategy for Malaysia in alignment with regional business objectives.
- Lead revenue growth, market expansion, pipeline development, and sales execution across the country.
- Set clear sales priorities, targets, and performance expectations for the Malaysian market.
- Lead, coach, and develop sales professionals to improve individual and team performance.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across strategic enterprise accounts and priority industries.
- Hands on experience in direct customer engagement, new-logo acquisition, account expansion, cross-selling, upselling, and renewals.
- Build trusted relationships with C-level executives, security leaders, technology decision-makers, and other senior stakeholders.
- Act as an executive sponsor for strategic customers, major prospects, and high-value opportunities.
- Develop and oversee account, territory, and opportunity plans for key customers and target accounts.
- Lead complex cybersecurity sales cycles involving multiple technical, commercial, and executive stakeholders.
- Work closely with Sales Engineering teams to understand customer requirements and position appropriate cybersecurity solutions.
- Strengthen relationships with distributors, resellers, MSPs, MSSPs, and strategic technology partners.
- Develop joint go-to-market plans with channel partners to increase market coverage and generate qualified opportunities.
- Guide commercial proposals, pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and deal-closing activities.
- Maintain strong pipeline governance and ensure customer and opportunity information is accurately recorded in Salesforce.
- Provide reliable sales forecasts, performance reports, market insights, and business updates to regional management.
- Drive customer satisfaction, retention, subscription renewals, and long-term account growth.
- Represent the organisation at executive customer meetings, partner engagements, conferences, and cybersecurity events.
- Promote collaboration, accountability, knowledge-sharing, and high performance across the wider sales organisation.
What We Are Looking For
- Approximately 8–13 years of experience in Cybersecurity Sales, Enterprise Technology, software or managed services.
- Strong knowledge of the Malaysian enterprise technology or cybersecurity market.
- A consistent track record of achieving or exceeding significant revenue targets.
- Demonstrated success in leading, coaching, and developing high-performing sales professionals.
- Proven ability to secure new enterprise customers and expand strategic accounts.
- Extensive experience managing complex, high-value sales cycles from prospecting and qualification through negotiation, closing, and renewal.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and engage C-level decision-makers.
- Experience developing and executing country, territory, account, and go-to-market strategies.
- Strong relationships within Malaysia’s enterprise customer or technology-partner ecosystem would be advantageous.
- Experience working with distributors, resellers, MSPs, MSSPs, and other channel partners.
- A good understanding of cybersecurity solutions, subscription licensing, managed services, and recurring-revenue models.
- Strong capabilities in sales forecasting, pipeline governance, performance management, and CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
- Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
